Amanda Young completed her Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Amanda has over sixteen years of experience in counseling, leadership training, and program development in the church ministry context. She has experience working with children, families, and adolescents in both ministry and counseling settings. Amanda is familiar with navigating issues related to spirituality, identity, career and transitions from her previous work with women as well. Her passion is to come alongside individuals and work with them toward growth and healing. Amanda uses an eclectic approach, maintaining Christian principles as a priority. Prior to becoming a counselor, Amanda worked as an elementary school teacher for over a decade. She has also worked alongside her husband, a local pastor, in ministering to the needs of individuals, couples and families. She has a passion for working with ministers dealing with issues of boundaries, compassion fatigue and burnout. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, being creative and spending quality time with her husband and children.
